Summer 2020

This course was very interesting! I learned so many things about society and how to view society. The course definitely had me thinking about society as a whole rather than just the society that surrounds me personally. The topics we went over in class are thought–provoking and extremely important to understand during this lifetime. Professor Daghagheleh was a great lecturer and taught the class very well.

Fall 2019

Mr. Daghagheleh has really helped me start to think about and adjust my writing in ways that many of high school teachers did not.He provided meaningful comments on my essays that encouraged me to think more carefully and critically about the quotes I choose, the logic I use, and the overall structure of my arguments. The readings we were provided were difficult, but looking back, the difficulty was a factor in developing my writing skills. These readings connected in ways that I would not have imagined under my way of thinking from high school, and I’m glad that I took this class to better understand the purpose of an expository essay.

My professor was an excellent expos teacher. He encouraged my intellectual growth & progress by reviewing the texts in depth to help my understanding. Also, I was able to see what I needed to work on through his effective comments. Through his teaching, I now know how to analyze texts & distinguish between arguments & evidence.
